The Socialist party of Malaysia (PSM) would be holding its 12th. Congress, its first in Kuala Lumpur at the Selangor Chinese Assembly hall at Jalan Mahajaralela.
Delegates from nine states are expected to attend the Congress along with its front organization and grassroots committees.
The Congress will be officiated by the Party’s National Chairperson, Comrade Nasir Hashim who would touch on a number of current issues including crisis in the capitalist system, climate crisis, neo-liberal policies including Najib’s 1Malaysia and New Economic Model(NEM).
Three papers will also be presented at the Congress on the Environmental crisis facing the world, leadership transition in PSM and about Najib’s 1Malaysia dan NEM. 26 resolutions will also be debated on the second day touching on idelogical questions, local Government elections and relationship with PR.
300 delegates and observers are expected to attend the Congress this year.
